Born in July of 1978 in Tupelo, Mississippi and a 1996 graduate of Houston, High School, Houston, Mississippi, Most Illustrious Grand Thrice Illustrious Master Steven Crawford was born to be a servant leader.
Motivated by the unwavering love and support of his family, he has dedicated his life to serving others with humility, compassion, and integrity. His family has been a constant source of strength and inspiration, encouraging him to lead by example and make a positive impact wherever he goes.
In 1997 MIGTIM Crawford enlisted as a 12B Combat Engineer, in the US Army. He specialized in mobility, counter-mobility, survivability operations, route clearance, and force protection.
With two decades of distinguished military service, he held positions of increasing responsibility, leading teams through high-risk combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan while mentoring and developing the next generation of military leaders.
His exemplary military service has been recognized through numerous awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, NATO Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge, among many other honors earned throughout his distinguished military career.
His faith remains the cornerstone of his life. His spiritual journey has been one of continual growth, prayer, and faithful service. As his relationship with Christ deepened, he answered the call to serve in a greater capacity, ultimately being ordained as a Deacon at People’s Missionary Baptist Church in Tupelo, Ms. where he served faithfully until his relocation to Jackson, Ms.
Beyond his military accomplishments, MIGTIM Crawford is a proud and active Prince Hall Mason, dedicated to the timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. He believes that the values instilled through Freemasonry demonstrate integrity, compassion, service, and moral leadership and complement the principles that guided his military career.
Today, MIGTIM Crawford continues his lifelong commitment to service by supporting veterans as a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars , American Legion, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) strengthening his community, and serving through his other Masonic organizations. His life reflects a steadfast dedication to duty, faith, family, country, and the fraternity.
As a decorated Combat Veteran, respected Mason, and servant leader, MIGTIM Crawford remains committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, integrity, and selfless service. One of his favorite scriptures is “Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”
